Don’t Let The Affiliate Learning Game Beat you

I can’t tell you how hard it is for me to control my own mind. It’s this constant struggle for me to wake up and begin working for 10 hours a day working a job I am sick and tired of, then stop doing that job only to begin and work on my various sites and constantly educating myself on how to grow more and more as an affiliate marketer.

I never was a good student, but I can learn real well if I want to, and ever since the lightbulb turned on in my head finally acknowledging just how much money you can make as an affiliate, I knew I was going to learn how to no matter what. I am glad I decided to learn how to build sites, because I am finally closer than ever to true retirement. I will not let all this knowledge overwhelm me and cause me to stop, because I know I will regret it deeply if I do, and you will to if you quit as well.

This short blog post is just going to be me talking about why you cannot allow the affiliate game to beat you, and how you can in turn beat the game itself.

You Know You Will Regret Giving Up

Have you ever sat there thinking to yourself how you want to change this or that about yourself and start forcing yourself to change this or do that to achieve a different result for yourself in life?

I have, but I wonder if you also know what it feels like for you to decide to stop doing whatever you promised yourself you would start doing to change yourself for the better.

If you don’t know that feeling then you are apart of the top probably 1o% or so of people who are just able to control their minds without much effort whatsoever, so good for you. Most people reading this do know what I am talking about though, they have essentially gone through the same process I just described AT LEAST once in their lives, although me personally I have given up on things in life for one reason or another many more times than once, I have seen goals through in my life too so I know the feeling of both ends of the spectrum, and let me tell you from experience that I will take the feeling of meeting my goals any day compared to the churning feeling of disappointment or even sadness I feel when I give up.

I am too old to give up anymore, I only have room for met expectations anymore in life, and that’s exactly what you need to tell yourself, you need to remind yourself that you are looking to change things in your life for a genuine reason and you need to pursue it or be doomed to suffer in your own mind, constantly disappointed in your own lack of persistence and true will to make a change.

Why Are You Doing It

Photo of text that reads "always remember your why"

No really, why? Why are you forcing yourself to invest the time and energy needed to build a website that makes money for you? What are you trying to accomplish?

I want to make a living online so I can live wherever I want when I want and have the money to take care of any unforeseen life events, I want to have money to help my friends move forward in life and money and time to be with and help my family and children, I want to be an affiliate marketer because I want true freedom, and I tell myself that just about everyday when I wake up to remind myself why I work as much as I do.

I want true freedom in life.

Whatever the reason is that you got the idea in your mind that you want to make a living online, you need to remember it no matter what, you need to remember why you are doing what you are doing, especially when it gets hard and exhausting and you are having trouble to find the time to study or work.

If you forget why you set out to accomplish your goal then you are just going to waiver in your determination and eventually give up, so remind yourself constantly why you have your goal and you should be able to achieve it.

Take It Slow

Look if there is one that that is hard for me it’s taking my time, and ever since I began my affiliate marketing journey I rediscovered the importance of taking my time all over again.

Learning to build an online business takes time, as does building it, whether I like that to be the case or not, and accepting that and actually taking my time will do nothing but help me.

Things don’t go as fast as we want or need them to go, and while you do affect how quickly your website generates money to an extent, you can only do so much between studying, implementing what you learned and taking care of all the other parts of life that get in the way of you and your love for affiliate marketing.

Just do what you can when you can to progress with your affiliate dreams and just accept that things are not going to change overnight, but over the course of many nights and days of you building and learning.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet the affiliate game really doesn’t start out as a game, but a mental war of sorts, battling yourself to get the work done to progress and reach the goal you have set for yourself so you can finally live the life you have dreamed about.

It’s hard, God knows it’s hard to force yourself to work when you are tired and demotivated and are not seeing any of the fruits of your labor, but you need to remember that anything in life worth achieving is going to require a process like this or harder.

Those of us who understand the potential of the affiliate marketing industry know just how easy it can be to make not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things but a lot to us, and that’s all that matters.

It really doesn’t take long to get to where you know you want to be, it just feels like a long time while you are experiencing it, so keep on track and the hardest work will be behind you in the blink of an eye, assuming you perceive time the way I do and think of 5 or 6 months or even a year as the blink of an eye.

Hopefully you got something out of what I had to say, and if so please leave a comment down below, maybe talking about what your goals are and where you want to be 6 months from now as compared to where you are now!

Thanks for reading,

Lorenzo
